About the Office
The Research Affairs and Industry/Community Relations Office at Farabi College, University of Tehran, is responsible for supporting, coordinating, and overseeing research activities at the College. The Office aims to enhance the quality, impact, and effectiveness of research activities in alignment with the strategic priorities of the University of Tehran and the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.
By supporting faculty members, facilitating research collaborations, and developing partnerships with industries, governmental organizations, and society, the Office contributes to knowledge development, innovation, and providing research-based solutions to real-world challenges.

Mission and Objectives
The Office aims to promote research excellence, strengthen research capacities, support faculty members’ research activities, expand university–industry and university–society interactions, and facilitate national and international research collaborations.

Main Areas of Activity
Research Development and Support
• Evaluating, scoring, and approving faculty members’ research activities through the Research Information System (RTIS)
• Calculating and allocating annual research grants for faculty members
• Supporting fundamental and applied research projects
• Reviewing and approving faculty members’ comprehensive research plans
• Developing strategies to improve the quality and quantity of research activities

• Establishing cooperation agreements with industries, governmental organizations, and external partners
• Facilitating communication with organizations to identify challenges and develop research-based solutions
• Supporting research contracts and collaborative research projects
• Strengthening knowledge transfer and university–industry/community partnerships

Researcher Development and Academic Mobility
• Managing affairs related to the admission of postdoctoral researchers
• Supporting faculty members’ research missions and industrial research visits
• Facilitating academic exchange and research mobility programs

• Providing administrative support for scientific conferences, workshops, and academic meetings
• Supporting scholarly discussions, academic forums, and research initiatives

• Supporting the establishment and development of research centers, research groups, and scientific hubs
• Following up on the establishment of research centers and strategic research priorities
