Research and technology are the main element and driving force of sustainable development in every country and are considered one of the fundamental factors of progress in developed countries.
The general duties of this vice-president include policy-making in the fields of research and technology, adopting research policies, establishing relations with scientific institutions for the purpose of scientific cooperation and exchanges, holding festivals, seminars and scientific conferences, publishing scientific journals, planning scientific trips for professors and scientific visits for students, etc.
